The Christian Marriage Act 1872, the Christian Divorce Act 1869, and the Succession Act 1925 govern Christian marital disputes. In the combined Indian subcontinent, Christian divorce law was introduced by the British Government in 1869 which applies to all denominations of Christianity. That was an opportunity for Pakistani Christians to take advantage of progressive changes to British divorce and marriage laws. According to the Act, there are three ways to file for divorce. Dissolution of a Christian Marriage

As per section 10 of the Christian Divorce Act 1869, a husband can file for divorce if he believes his wife committed adultery, while a woman must prove that her husband committed adultery with cruelty.
Annulment of Christian Marriage
Other options open to Christians include filing for annulment, which means annulment of the marriage relationship. Additionally, a revoked application has a limited scope, and you will find a few reasons for filing it.

- Impotence
- Madness / Insanity

Judicial Separation
A judicial separation may also be filed by the wife, while the husband has the right to contest the divorce and nullity petition at the same time. In cases where both parties are contesting the case, the court has a duty to listen to both sides.
